Most Linux material assumes you already half-know things, or it teaches Linux the way a certification exam tests it: one isolated skill at a time, in a fixed numbered order that has nothing to do with how a real server actually breaks.

This course does neither. It's built around one premise: you've just become the person a Linux box answers to, and the GUI isn't coming. Every lesson exists because something in it is the actual root cause of a real incident - wrong permissions, a process that won't die, a service that silently isn't running, a box rebooted without warning the person still logged into it.

You'll work in a real Linux machine running in your browser, so there's nothing to install and nothing you can't undo. Each lesson explains one idea, shows you the real command, and then makes you do the actual thing before it lets you move on - no multiple choice, no "select the correct answer."

By the end you'll be able to walk into an unfamiliar Linux box over SSH, with no one to ask and no manual, and figure out what's wrong with it.
